Sen. Dan Sullivan defended his stance on the administration of President Donald Trump in response to questions from Alaska lawmakers after his annual address this week, even as he called on them to unanimously adopt a resolution opposing one of Trump's policy ideas.
The Alaska Senate Resources Committee adopted a new version of a tax bill that could, in the view of one lawmaker, double the amount of revenue the state brings in from existing oil production.
