| | | Hello. As police continue the search of the Royal Lodge, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's home until recently, royal correspondent Jonny Dymond looks at what the former prince's arrest means for the Royal Family. My colleague Olga Ivshina reports on a Russian village that lost its young men to the Ukraine war. And finally, a mystery donor gifts gold bars to a city in Japan. | | | | | | |
| TOP OF THE AGENDA | | Police search Andrew's former home | | | | | Andrew moved out of his home in the Royal Lodge, a thirty-room mansion in Windsor, earlier this month. Credit: Getty Images | | Unmarked police vehicles have been arriving at Royal Lodge to continue a search at Andrew's former home, which he left following mounting scrutiny of his ties to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Last night, the King's brother was released under investigation following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Follow the latest here. So what does his arrest mean for the Royal Family? As Jonny Dymond notes, the King's defenders would point to his statement that "the law must take its course" as evidence he is putting to one side whatever family loyalty he may feel. But, Jonny writes, the damage has been done. Others may ask why the Palace didn't act sooner - and how much more is to come? | | | | | | | | |

| | | BEYOND THE HEADLINES | | How a Russian village lost its men to war | | | | | | | Vladimir Akeev died four months after signing up to fight in the Ukraine war. Credit: Kamchatka government | | In the remote village of Sedanka in Russia's Far East, almost all of the men of fighting age have left to join the Ukraine war. BBC Russian's Olga Ivshina reports on how life in the village has been affected, and why Russian war casualties are disproportionately high among small indigenous groups, especially in economically depressed areas such as Sedanka. | | | | | | |
