Trevor Story was one of the best offensive shortstops in baseball over the final four months of last season.
That’s not conjecture. He hit .289 with an .827 OPS, 73 RBIs, and 44 extra-base hits over 101 games. No shortstop drove in more runs, and only Bobby Witt Jr., with 46, had more extra-base hits.
What if the Red Sox could get that player for the whole season? Story thinks that’s too modest to expect.
“To be honest, I think there’s even another level,” he said.
