Today we celebrated the 100th day of school! Students thought of creative ways they could show 100 and engaged in many activities throughout the day.
Dear Woodburn Families,
As we continue navigating winter weather, thank you for your flexibility and partnership. Portions of our field remain covered with snow, so we are continuing to follow a temporary recess plan to ensure student safety. We will monitor conditions closely and communicate when we are able to return to full field use. Please continue to send students dressed appropriately for the weather, including coats, hats, and gloves, as we do go outside whenever conditions allow.
Despite schedule adjustments and weather-related changes, learning continues in full swing. We remain focused on strong reading and math instruction, ongoing assessment, and supporting students in maintaining routines. Your partnership at home makes a tremendous difference—please continue reading together and encouraging regular math practice.
This week also brought exciting learning opportunities beyond our classrooms. Our 3rd graders enjoyed a wonderful trip to the museum, and our 4th graders traveled to Baltimore for an enriching field experience. These opportunities help bring learning to life and create lasting memories for our students.
We are also looking forward to several fun upcoming PTA events in the coming weeks—more information will be shared soon!
Wishing all of our families a joyful Valentine’s Day and a Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.
Warmly,
Ms. Iyer and Ms. Dauberman
