Federal officials unveiled a slew of charges Tuesday against two Coloradans accused of ripping off a program that provides free rides to Medicaid patients.

One person was killed in a crash on westbound Interstate 70 in north Denver early Tuesday morning, police said.

Southbound Interstate 25 will close just north of Colorado 7 on Thursday night in Broomfield near Adams County so crews can install girders for a new pedestrian bridge.

“In our rush to make our community safe, we’re not getting the full picture of the risks we’re facing,” Thornton resident Steve Mathias said.

The Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Board voted Monday to continue with the process of terminating Loveland’s fire chief.

The victim’s uncle, in an interview with The Denver Post on Monday, identified the teenager as Jayden Marrujo of Westminster.
