Do you have a habit you’ve become a little too dependent on? Mine is coffee, I feel very tired and grumpy if I don’t have one … or even two in the morning. Most of us have a vice, habit or addiction that seems hard to stop. It might be that evening glass of wine to de-stress after work, one too many shots of caffeine in the morning to wake up (like me!) or a can of soft drink to get us through the
afternoon slump. That's why we've launched our new Breaking Bad habits series,
which is all about following people who give something up for 10 days and document it in a diary. You'll remember that deputy national health editor Tamara McDonald is about to become a mum for the first time. So she used the series to give her husband William a push to kick his vaping addiction once-and-for-all.
You can see his 10-day diary here on how it went here.
The report also reveals a concerning trend about what people are doing because they are finding it so hard to quit e-cigarettes. Over the next few weeks we will bring you more first-person accounts, along with useful tips from experts, to help motivate you to make a change.

Meanwhile we also have this special report by Julie Cross
that reveals the 392 workers permanently or temporarily banned from aged care. A registered nurse, a physiotherapist, an aged care chef and a serial flasher are among those named in the exclusive report. Until next week.
