Earthquake, wildfire or pandemic — what will the next big crisis be in Canada?
Whatever the case, a new lab at McGill University hopes to strengthen local and global readiness.
“Our front-line providers are the first ones to be exposed to a lot of the misinformation that comes in with regards to outbreaks,” Dr. Prativa Baral, deputy director of the lab, tells The Gazette’s Katelyn Thomas. “Can we have a coherent strategy for how they can apply and combat misinformation while this is happening?”
