Dear Lake Anne Families,
We have absolutely loved welcoming our Dolphins back into the building this week and sharing in their excitement for learning and reconnecting with friends. The energy across our classrooms has been wonderful to see!
Daily attendance helps students build confidence, stay engaged, and feel connected to their school community. Our current chronic absenteeism rate is 12.2%, and our goal is to bring this number below 10%. We appreciate families’ continued efforts to support regular attendance, as every day in the classroom makes a meaningful difference for our students.
A huge thank you to our custodial team, who braved the bitter cold to clear walkways and school grounds, ensuring a safe and smooth return for students and staff. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication.
We also had the joy of celebrating a very special birthday this week! Mrs. Stewart was surprised with the opportunity to read to a few of our Dolphins in the library—one of her favorite ways to build connections and spark meaningful conversations through literacy. It was a special moment for all involved! | | |
