Dear Garfield Families,
We truly miss our Eagles and hope everyone is staying safe, warm, and cozy during these chilly winter days. As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we appreciate your continued partnership as we navigate winter weather together.
As we look ahead to next week, please note that some snow and ice may still be present on sidewalks and street corners as students arrive at and depart from school. We ask that families take a few moments to talk with students about safely walking to school and standing patiently at bus stops. With many families utilizing Kiss & Ride, we also appreciate your patience as traffic moves through the line. Additionally, students should come to school dressed for the cold with appropriate winter gear—coats, hats, gloves, and long pants—as temperatures will remain below freezing during the mornings next week.
As winter weather continues, the FCPS website is typically the first-place emergency closings or delays are posted. Thank you for staying connected and informed.
Behind the scenes, there is a dedicated team working tirelessly to make sure our building and grounds are safe and ready for our Eagles each day:
