Notes for the Marshall Road Community

Dear MRES families,

As we prepare for out return to school on Monday, February 2nd here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Walkers coming down Marshall Road may experience some ice after passing the back parking lot.  Efforts have been made to remove it, and it will continue to be treated this weekend and Monday AM.
  2. Walkers coming from Dellwood will not be able to use the sidewalk along either side of the side parking lot.  There will be a coned walking path alongside Kiss and Ride and students will enter via door 7.  Additional staff will be added to this location at arrival.
  3. Kiss and Ride drop off-students will disembark in the AM and load in vehicles in the PM via the crosswalk past the bus depot (there is not a way to clear the ice and ice mound that surrounds typical Kiss and Ride pathways).
  4. Given the grounds, playground and blacktop resemble a skating rink, we will be having indoor recess for the foreseeable future.
  5. If you are coming for community use Saturday or Sunday and parking by door 7, you will use door 7 to enter, not door 6, that pathway is still a work in progress (door 5 from the back lot is clear).

Stay warm and while the ice mounds are not the most sightly specimens of nature, we hope you are enjoying the winter season all the same.

Much peace,

Matthew F. Chapman
