February 4, 18, and March 4, 6:30 p.m. CT
What is photogrammetry? How did 1,700 pounds of marine debris get removed from Stetson Bank? Are Regal Demoiselle fish the next invasive species in the sanctuary?
Answers to all of these questions are coming soon in the form of Seaside Chats, our annual speaker series about science and conservation happenings in and around Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary
These presentations take place on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (Central Time).
- Presentations are FREE and presented via webinar. Our speakers include sanctuary staff and guests from partner organizations.
- Anyone is welcome to attend, but presentation content is most suited to those in middle school and above. In fact, these programs make excellent extra credit assignments for students.
- We are happy to provide attendance certificates for all participants and continuing professional education (CPE) hours for teachers.
- All webinars are recorded, then captioned and posted to the National Marine Sanctuaries and FGBNMS websites.
More information about each of the presentations and links to webinar registration can be found on the Seaside Chats page of the FGBNMS website.
