Ex-Sangamon County deputy to be sentenced in Sonya Massey second-degree murder conviction

Sean Grayson, the former Sangamon County sheriff’s deputy who killed Sonya Massey, is set to be sentenced on Thursday on his second-degree murder conviction in the 2024 shooting that generated national outrage, protests and calls for changes to police hiring practices.
