Good morning Wypierdalaj, Near blizzard conditions on the Cape this weekend? Our weather team has issued a First Alert for Sunday as they continue to track another winter storm set to bring nor'easter conditions. Other news we're following includes delays on the Red Line and Commuter Rail, Drake Maye on the Patriots injury report, and a Super Bowl send-off rally at Gillette Stadium this weekend -- the event is free but tickets are required, and registration opens this morning! | Numbing cold ahead of expected nor'easter this weekend |
We have more numbing cold in the days ahead. We’re only peaking in the low 20s these days, and even colder air is expected for tomorrow, with highs struggling to stay in the mid and upper 10s. Bitterly cold wind chills will continue, peaking tomorrow at -15 to -25 in the morning. All that arctic air is swirling down the Eastern Seaboard to make our monster storm this weekend. Unfortunately, we’re still on the fence over how much it will impact us on Sunday. We look for trends over a day or two. So far, this one has defied any kind of stability. One moment it seems to hit square-on, then six hours later it’s far out of reach. We know the storm will be spawned over the ocean and stay out over the ocean. The lack of data over the vast Atlantic gives our models fits. |

| Patriots list Drake Maye as limited participant in injury report |
As the Patriots respond to speculation about the health status of Drake Maye going into the Super Bowl, the team named him on its injury report Wednesday. The quarterback is listed under limited participation for his right shoulder, which the Patriots said is an estimation, as the team did not practice that day. “I think that everybody — and including Drake — is not 100% at this part of the year and we’ll do everything that we can to help our players be prepared and get ready for this game,” head coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday. |

With snow still piled up, Boston says it's time to remove your space saver |
Mounds of snow continue to make getting around Boston difficult, and a new hurdle for drivers came Wednesday. The city allows drivers to use space savers — objects placed in a street space that’s already been dug out — for 48 hours after the end of a snow emergency. That deadline came at 8 p.m. Wednesday. “You have 48 hours to use a space saver after the end of a declared snow emergency,” the city wrote. “By 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, you need to remove it from the street.” |

Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski react to Bill Belichick's Hall of Fame snub |
Bill Belichick will not be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and his former players are not happy about it. The former New England Patriots coach reportedly fell short of being enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility – despite winning six Super Bowls. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, two former Patriots who themselves seemingly have first-ballot Hall of Fame resumes, reacted to the news Wednesday. |
