You know you’ve made it as a celebrity makeup artist when TikTok is so flooded with videos about your work that there’s a Reddit conspiracy claiming you’ve surely paid the creators who posted them. That’s what happened to Nina Park, a New York–based makeup artist who’s signature look on Emma Stone, Greta Lee, Zoë Kravitz, Kaia Gerber and more has inspired countless social media videos about “Nina Park makeup.”
We hate to disappoint the theorists, but the popularity of Park’s makeup aesthetic has nothing to do with a coordinated campaign and everything to do with how irresistibly alluring it is.
