Public safety is critical to Orange County’s economic success. With voter approval of Proposition 36 in 2024, Californians called for stronger action on retail theft, organized crime and repeat offenses. However, funding gaps have left local businesses and governments facing significant challenges.

Join OCBC’s upcoming Business Connections event for a discussion with Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, California State Senator Catherine Blakespear, Orange County Senior District Attorney Robert Mestman and Irvine Police Chief Michael Kent.

Panelists will explore what Prop 36 means for employers, how implementation gaps affect business operations and why business leadership is essential for a safe, thriving community. The free event will be held at Orange Coast College on February 11, from noon to 2 p.m.
