But for many observers and officials around world, writes Lyse Doucet, the initiative offers "more proof of Trump's drive to dismantle the post-war international architecture and replace it with new institutions - dominated by him." Just days after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney warned of a "rupture" in the US-led global order, Trump announced he had withdrawn Canada's invitation to join the board.
