Trump has threatened Iran with "very strong action" if it executes protesters. The US president is understood to be weighing military and other options, having already announced 25% tariffs on any country trading with Iran. Meanwhile, the latest death toll of anti-government protesters killed by Iranian authorities has risen to 2,400, according to human rights groups.
