A 21-year-old Indigenous woman was reported missing Wednesday from Aurora, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

The lawsuit faults the school for what it describes as a practice of investigating abuse suspicions internally, rather than reporting suspicions to outside authorities as required by Colorado’s mandated reporting laws.

“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” Renée Nicole Good’s mother told the Minnesota Star Tribune. “She was extremely compassionate.”
