As 2025 draws to a close, before I share the latest updates below, this newsletter begins with a roundup of notable work and achievements we’ve seen in our Hunter Mill schools and community, and across Fairfax County. 

Celebrating Student Achievements and Excellence 

Most recently, I accompanied students from George C. Marshall and South Lakes High Schools, as they performed in Hawaii for the Pearl Harbor memorial events, in Honolulu! The adventure engaged us in American and world history; Polynesian and Southeast Asian cultures; marine life; and geography and geology of Hawaii.
