Dear Families,
It is so hard to believe that this is the last Puma Press we will be sending out for the year 2025. We had such a great start to the school year, and we are so grateful for all the support this year. We hope everyone has a wonderful winter break, and we are excited to see everyone back in January!
Please consider joining the PTA! Our goal this year is 300 members, and we are currently at 234 members. It does not require any time for volunteering, and your membership dues fund the school in many different ways (field trips, Fall & Spring events, assemblies, staff appreciation week, etc.). Thank you for your support!

Also, we will have our next PTA meeting on Monday, January 26th. We hope you will join us that day at 7pm!
We still have many items in our lost & found that were not claimed by families last week. This week, we will have all leftover items available for anyone to grab during drop off (front lobby) & pick up (outside).
This year, the theme for our yearbook cover is “One Powell”. You can paint, draw, and/or sketch a piece of art & submit it to an art teacher by this Thursday, December 18th. Don’t forget to include the slip of paper with your artwork (see below for form).
Just 1 more day! Registration for Baroody Camps’ enrichment at Colin Powell opens tomorrow.

Our next spirit night will take place on Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday, January 7th (4-8pm). Please don’t forget to enter the code “PUMAS” when placing online orders. See you all there!
Join the NexTrex Recycling Challenge from 1/1/2026 to 12/31/2026! We are collecting clean & dry plastic bags that are free of any food residue. Collection bins/boxes will be in the front lobby, and all donations can be sent to school with your child. If we collect a minimum of 1,000 pounds, our school can win a trex bench!
 
Do you have a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader that is interested in joining the theatre club? Registration is open now, and students will be practicing on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 4:15 - 5:30pm. Please see below for the registration form.
 
We will be having our next round of “Coffee with the Principals” on Friday, January 16th. It will begin at 9:30am. They are excited to see everyone there!

Get excited, Pumas! The new date for our Wizards game fundraiser is Saturday, March 21st. Come out & cheer for the Wizards as they play Oklahoma City Thunder at 5pm. See you there!
