This is our last newsletter for 2025 and sadly comes at a time when we are all in shock, sick to our stomachs and heartbroken over the horror Bondi terror attack. Psychologist Carly Dober says it’s important we support one another and look after our mental health as we try to comprehend this atrocity that has changed Australia forever.
"News like this can shake everyone because it violates the things we believe about Australia," she says. Her advice is to focus on routines, socialising, sleep and movement. "If you'd like to do something, donate blood, donate money to affected communities and know there is help available if you need it," she says.
Elsewhere, this special report shows the huge differences between the best and worst performing IVF clinics in Australia.
It is crucial for people to be as informed as possible when spending thousands of dollars to achieve their dream of starting or growing a family. We have created useful tables for you to look at all the pregnancy and birth rates. Our health section

And lastly as the weather gets hotter, medical editor Robyn Riley
has opened up about having skin cancer in this must-read piece which is both graphic and confronting. She says she wants to shock us because an alarming number of people are turning up to emergency departments with sunburn.
