Dear Friend,
We hope this message finds you in the midst of holiday mirth-making! As the year draws to a close, we're reflecting on all that we accomplished this year together: over 45+ events and convenings, 100+ AAPI leaders and creators spotlighted, 2,000+ audience members served, and 16M+ views of our films, panels, and shorts. We're looking at an ambitious 2026 ahead, with two fantastic Serica Storytellers events already confirmed, and are more grateful than ever for your generous partnership and support.
In this month's newsletter, we're sharing calls for mentors for our AAPI Mentorship Program (due 12/31) and new members our next-gen leadership group, CINGS (due 2/17). We're also highlighting recaps from a slew of recent events including CEO Dinner guest Yasheng Huang, and Serica Storytellers David Wu and Frank Wu. And, as always, treat yourself to some wonderful events and updates from our community partners.
In a bit of personal news, it's with a heavy heart to share "farewell for now" as your trusty newsletter scribe and Deputy Director as I embark on a sabbatical with my family to Shanghai in the new year and take on a limited role at Serica overseeing our partnership with ALL ARTS/WNET. It's been an enormous privilege to share our work with all of you, and please don't hesitate to stay in touch.
From all of us here, thank you for all you do for our community, and wishing you a wonderful start to the holiday season!
Cheers,
Daniel Tam-Claiborne
Deputy Director, The Serica Initiative
