The ongoing employment and income gaps between English- and French-speaking Quebecers is costing Quebec an estimated $1.5 billion in lost income annually, a new study shows.
The findings come as Quebec and Canada grapple with increased economic anxiety spurred by the tariffs enacted by the United States and labour shortages in multiple sectors, particularly in health care, technology and social services, The Gazette’s René Bruemmer reports.
