Office of the Spokesperson The below is attributable to Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott: Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to reaffirm the strong U.S.-Italy partnership and discuss key global issues. Secretary Rubio expressed appreciation for Italy’s support for continued diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war and reach a durable peace. The Secretary welcomed Italy’s contributions to stabilization and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
