Situated between Henley and Sonning in Berkshire, a 4.75 acre island on the River Thames (Lot 15) offered with no reserve, sold for £98,000. Elsewhere a data centre let to Bloomberg LP at £1,359,000 per annum (
Lot 141), sold prior to auction in excess of its £6.5m guide price.
Robin Howeson, head of Savills Auctions: "To have had delivered our most successful auction of the year, in the lead up to the Autumn Budget is a clear indicator that investor confidence remains resilient despite speculation. With clarity now following the Budget, we're moving full steam ahead, working closely with clients to help them maximise opportunities and complete transactions before year-end."
