One of two service members shot during an attack in Washington, D.C., has died, Donald Trump said. The president announced during a Thanksgiving phone call with U.S. troops that Sarah Beckstrom, who had been deployed to the capital region since August, died from her injuries.

Andrew Wolfe, the second National Guard member injured in the shooting, was "fighting for his life," Trump said.
