There are many ways that curbs are used today, and all uses are important. To prioritize the growing demand for curb lanes across competing needs, we are looking at the different curb lane uses we have today and those that we need in the future.

The work plan serves as a guiding document for NVTC staff to support the mission of the Commission. It identifies specific programs, projects and tasks that NVTC staff intend to perform during the period from January 2026 through June 2027 (FY 2027) and is intended to be a living document that can be updated as priorities and projects change.
The study assesses potential safety, operational, transit and bicycle/pedestrian improvements along the approximately mile-long stretch of Langston Boulevard between North Veitch Street and North Lynn Street.
How to Participate
From now to December 4, take a look at proposed changes at different intersections within the project area, and tell VDOT if you think these changes would help make the intersections safer for all users.
