Dear Haycock Families,

Our kindergarten students demonstrated their learning on Friday afternoon when they presented Thanksgiving songs and poems for their families. We look forward to this cherished and adorable event every year!

We enjoyed sharing information about helping students navigate friendships and social interactions at last week's parent coffee. Many thanks to Ms. Lilienthal and Ms. Li, our school counselors, who presented information and ideas for parents.

As we have shared previously, the new volunteer management system, Volunteer FCPS, allows individuals to search and register for volunteer opportunities at our school or across the school district. Due to the overwhelming response, FCPS is temporarily pausing fingerprint requirements for most Level 3 volunteers. Those who have already been fingerprinted will be processed to be eligible for all Level 3 opportunities. Field trip chaperone opportunities will now be classified as Level 2 (not requiring a comprehensive background check that includes fingerprinting).

We wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving! We are deeply grateful for all the students and families of the Haycock community.
