We are thrilled to share exciting news with our OHES community, and we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of you who helped make it possible. Thanks to the outstanding support of our OHES PTA, contributions from the school, and the partnership of FCPS Facilities, our new 1/5-mile asphalt track is well underway! This project was funded in part by last spring’s Boosterthon, and we are truly grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm of our families.
The new track will incorporate portions of the existing sidewalk and includes the installation of drainage pipes to help address ongoing flooding on the field, an improvement that will benefit our students for years to come. Construction is progressing smoothly, and we expect the track to be completed by the first week of December.
Thank you, OHES community, for your continued support. We can’t wait to see our Owls enjoying this wonderful new addition!
