Stallion Activities Update 11/23

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.                                                                                                            - John Wooden

11.23 Weekly Collage from football

Week in Review

The Stallion Football team's season came to an abrupt end as they lost in the Occoquan Region semifinal game to Lake Braddock.  The game was close the entire time, with multiple lead changes and impressive plays by both teams. Despite the lose, the Stallions had a season to be proud of, finishing the regular season with seven wins, coming in second in the district and putting up offensive and defensive statistics that the program hasn't seen in a number of years.

Post Season Honors

This fall the Stallions had success across all of our programs and it was reflected when coaches came together to determine All-District and All-Region teams.  Across our fall sports, South County had 38 athletes recognized at some level in the Patriot District and Occoquan Region.  This list was highlighted by Senior Wide Receiver Trevion Campbell who was named the Patriot District Offensive Player of the Year!  At the time of this newsletter the All Region Football Team has not yet been chosen.  For the full list of honorees, click HERE

Concession Stand Volunteers

We are excited for the Fall sports season and we NEED your help! In order for us to keep our concession stand up and running we need volunteers to assist us on game nights. The revenue generated through concessions serves as the SCHS Athletic Booster Club's primary source of funding. The money earned goes right back to the sports teams to cover the costs of equipment, uniforms, and more! Any family can volunteer! You do not need to have a student participating in Sports to make an impact! Visit the link below and consider helping us out one night! Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
