Hello and happy weekend, I’m Kate, Community Manager and editor here at The Good Trade. If you’ve attended one of our virtual events we have already met! For those of you who I haven’t met yet, it’s lovely to do so. I was delighted when AmyAnn asked me to curate this week’s edition of The Weekend Edit. As we prepare to officially enter into the holidays this week and head toward the final weeks of 2025, I’ve begun to reflect on the year that will soon, unbelievably, come to a close. For me, this year was one of personal transition. I went back to work full-time for the first time in five years (and the first time since becoming a mother). My children began attending two different schools, I turned 32, and our family of four moved into a new home only a few weeks ago. If we’re counting the previous years that included two pregnancies and the births of both of my children, it feels like I’ve just completed a marathon of one enormous life change after another, our move the final piece of a puzzle that is the firm foundation we’ll build our lives on in the years to come. As we settle into our new space, I feel myself move into a place that is more grounded and spacious. The shift is palpable. There is room where there wasn’t before, and in the stillness I can feel life asking me to feel everything that rises to the surface. Will you open yourself up to all of it, the goodness that is yours for the taking, and the grief that you’ve put on hold, too?...
