It’s a weird time for Los Angeles media—I would know after having lived here as a journalist for the last five years. Local journalism across the country has taken a hit, to put it lightly, yet it’s still stunning how underserved the second largest city in the country is today. Enter the Murdochs, who are putting their flag in the sand and launching the California Post. Will it catch on? Who’s to say…? This is a city of dreamers after all.
