The ousted chief of staff for Saint-Laurent MNA Marwah Rizqy has fired back at her former boss with a legal letter over her dismissal and calling on the politician to publicly retract herself within 24 hours.
Rizqy, at the time Liberal parliamentary leader of the National Assembly, fired Geneviève Hinse on Monday. Quebec Liberal Leader Pablo Rodriguez responded by removing Rizqy from her job and suspending her from the Liberal caucus.
The firing has plunged the Quebec Liberals into a crisis, with Rodriguez’s leadership shaken. The Gazette's Philip Authier has the latest.
