Yesterday, I joined some good friends, Lauren Groh-Wargo, the president of Georgia pro-voting organization FairFight, political maps expert Jack DeLapp, and Cliff Albright, executive director of Black Voters Matter, for an important conversation. We discussed Georgia, because that’s where FairFight, which Lauren and Stacey Abrams co-founded, is based. But also because Georgia is in many ways a new bellwether state, and successes there bode well for other places—including success in places that, until last Tuesday, have voted Republican for a very long time. It’s a lively conversation about what Democrats got right last week and how we can keep on doing it.
So, sit down for an informative and uplifting conversation, and remember to take credit and feel good about what happened last week. It happened because we all cared. It happened because we refuse to give up. And we’re going to keep doing it.
