Passengers at Houston airports enjoyed a relief from a week of checkpoint chaos as security lines at both George Bush International Airport and William P. Hobby Airport moved steadily this morning, two days after the FAA began flight cancellations.

Today marks the 40th day of the government shutdown, which has halted paychecks for Transportation Security Administration employees, air traffic controllers and other federal employees.
