Throughout his tenure as coach of the Patriots, Mike Vrabel has continually stressed the franchise is in the relatively early stages of the rebuild process. For him, it’s been more about the long game than anything else.
And in the end, that was the approach they ended up leaning on when it came to the trade deadline.
“We’re trying to build a program,” Vrabel said Wednesday in his first public statements since Tuesday’s trade deadline came and went without any major moves.
