10 Gifts I'm Giving This Year

Well, it’s that time again: the season of gift lists, shipping deadlines, and trying to remember who you already bought for. I like to get a head start on things in early November; it makes the rest of the month feel calmer, or at least slightly less chaotic.

This year, I’m using Shop, a discovery and shopping app I’ve used for years, to source ideas from independent brands and premium retailers. Their collections feature makes it easy to bookmark and organize everything in one place, which has already made my annual gift brainstorm feel much more manageable.

1. For my husband, who loves to be cozy: The Donegal Crewneck from Todd Snyder. I already know he loves items from this brand that makes high-quality menswear staples, so it’s a safe bet for a gift.

2. For my two-year-old, who is obsessed with gloves of any kind: I searched for “kids gardening gloves” in the Shop app and discovered two great picks: Garden Your Way’s Little Pals Garden Gloves and MOMA Design Store’s My Little Garden Tools. I think it’s time to introduce her to the joys of gardening. She’s going to be thrilled to have her own tiny gloves (and maybe, just maybe, she’ll stop stealing the ones I use to wash dishes).

3. For my nieces, who love crafting and playing with makeup: Super Smalls Mom’s Makeup Play Kit and Make It Rainbow Mini Bead Kit. They’re so cute!

4. For my MIL, who likes a good, minimalist beauty routine: RMS’s “Best of RMS Collection.” I already know she loves this brand, and this kit looks like a good value and includes all the essentials.
