Dear Fairhill Families,
Thank you for a wonderful first quarter! It’s been an incredible start to the year filled with strong relationships, rigorous instruction, and meaningful connections across our community — all centered around our Fairhill core values. As we head into Quarter 2, we look forward to continuing this great work together and building on the strong foundation we’ve established.

Technology at Home
This year, students have the option to take their school laptops home. If your child chooses to do so, they’ll need to bring it back to school each day, fully charged and ready for learning.
If you’d like your child to begin taking their laptop home, please send a message to your child’s teacher, and we’ll help facilitate the process.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our students connected and ready to learn both at school and at home!

Family Life Education (FLE) Information Session
Students in grades K-6 participate in Family Life Education (FLE) instruction through their classroom teacher. Students in grades 4-6 receive instruction in a human growth and development unit and an emotional and social health unit. Prior to the teaching of these lessons, Fairhill will be hosting an informational session where families can preview the Family Life Education media and lessons in Schoology and talk with school staff about the program. This is not a presentation. The info session will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 4:30 to 5:00 pm. This session will be held virtually. If you are interested in attending, please join using THIS LINK. All program materials and media for all grade levels will be available for your review at this time. Grade level program descriptions can be found HERE and materials are located in your child’s Schoology account. If you have any questions, please email our FLE Lead Teacher, Mrs. Barnett at MEBarnett@fcps.edu.
Attention FCPS Families!
The Federal Impact Aid Survey is now available to complete online.
The Federal Impact Aid program provides money to districts that enroll federally connected students. Help FCPS secure funding from the Impact Aid Program by helping us identify:
- Military families.
- Federally connected families.
- Families living on a military base.
Please complete one form for each child in your household. Remember that only the parent that registered the student with FCPS (the ‘enrolling parent’) can fill out the Impact Aid Survey form.
For families without access to ParentVUE, a paper copy of the form will be sent home with your student starting November 12. Your information will be kept strictly confidential.
Your support will ensure that we receive the resources for which we are eligible.
To access the Impact Aid Form from your computer or mobile device, we recommend using Google Chrome.
Step 1: CLICK HERE or type sisparent.fcps.edu into your Chrome address bar to be taken to SIS ParentVUE. If you don’t have a SIS ParentVUE account, contact your child’s school for an activation letter.
Step 2: After you’ve logged into your ParentVue Account, look for the ‘Online Packets’ link at the top of the page. Click ‘Online Packets’.
Step 3: Next, click the ‘Federal Impact Aid Survey’ button on the bottom of the page. This will take you to the Impact Aid Survey for you to complete.
If you have multiple children in Fairfax County Public Schools, please fill out a form for each child. You will know you have completed all of the forms when you get to the final page, and see a green check next to each of their names.
We need your help to make the 25-26 yearbook the best it can be! When you take photos at Fairhill events, please upload your candid photos to the yearbook’s photo albums: https://plicbooks.com/go/L4WV4P . There is a dropdown menu to choose from, from grade levels to special events!

Fairhill Elementary’s Yearbook, “Etched in Stone” is now on sale! Cost is $20, and must be made online at Strawbridge Yearbooks.
No extra copies will be ordered, so secure your child’s memories today! Deadline to place an order is March 20th!
