Dear Terraset Families,
It has been wonderful to engage in fall conferences with you and we can’t wait to see all of our Tigers back at school tomorrow! As you know, regular school attendance is critical to a student’s success. Currently, our current chronic absenteeism rate is 10.3%. Our goal is to stay below 10% all year. Please note that attendance is taken daily through the last day of school. This also includes tardies and early dismissals for our students. Every day that we partner together to keep chronic absenteeism down, we provide all Tigers with the environment to succeed. Let’s work together to get and stay below 10% for the remainder of this year!
One way you can help with this is to ensure all Tigers are present on our next 3 hour early release Wednesday, November 12th. Families will receive an eNotify email and text message on Wednesday, November 5th to confirm their student's dismissal time. Student's typical Wednesday dismissal routes will be followed unless a change in dismissal form has been submitted. These changes must be submitted before Friday, November 7th so we can ensure a safe dismissal for all students.
We also recognize that many of our families may be impacted by the current government shutdown. Please see below for information and links for community resources should those be supportive to you and your family. As always, you are encouraged to reach out directly to our Family Liaison, Marina Chavez, at 703-390-5614 for any additional supports we might be able to support with.
Yours in partnership,
Katie Aldridge, Principal
Dave Ickowski, Assistant Principal
