Cutesy concepts such as hygge (Danish for cosiness) or fika (Swedish for having a cup of tea, as far as I can tell) have made Nordic ideas fashionable. Less twee is sisu, a Finnish word that roughly amounts to inner strength, perseverance and a can-do attitude towards adversity.
