Clean Energy Success Story: Rosanna
Powered by an ultra-quiet Joule battery, Rosanna brings thoughtfully-crafted coffee and espresso drinks directly to local neighborhoods—combining convenience, flavor and clean and renewable energy. Rosanna launched a Kickstarter fund for a battery in December 2024 and in January 2025, successfully raised enough funds to battery power the service model. While the truck’s drivetrain is still engine-powered, Rosanna was able to retire two large Genmax generators that had been powering the truck during service. This allows Rosanna to serve coffee quietly with zero exhaust while parked, helping keep the air clean for everyone enjoying their cup. Afterward, the battery is charged through electricity generated by a solar panel installation at the owner's home, ensuring the coffee service runs on renewable energy.
