Apple product challenges: The development of a foldable iPad has been delayed by engineering issues until at least 2029. Apple doesn’t yet have a foldable smartphone or tablet, while rivals Huawei and Samsung are already several generations in.

OpenAI browser: OpenAI unveiled its first artificial intelligence-powered web browser, called ChatGPT Atlas, adding a new competitive front between the half-trillion-dollar startup and Google.

Google Cloud talks: Anthropic and Google are discussing a deal that would provide the AI company with cloud computing services worth tens of billions of dollars.

Veeam Software agreed to buy Securiti AI for about $1.7 billion in cash and stock. Veeam, owned by private equity firm Insight Partners, is looking to protect clients from new threats posed by AI. Securiti, which makes software that helps to secure corporate data being used with artificial intelligence, was valued at $575 million in a 2023 funding round.
