Prepaid brands offer 5G home internet from Verizon, T-Mobile

Edison Motors' kit turns pickups into extended-range EVs

Edison Motors is developing a kit to convert pickup trucks into extended-range electric vehicles. The conversion kit uses a diesel-powered CAT engine to charge a lithium iron phosphate battery, which in turn powers the electric motors, offering the efficiency of EV driving with the backup of a diesel range extender and promising up to 30% lower fuel costs. Edison says the kit, which is expected to be ready to be shipped next year, will "ideally retail for a third to half the cost of a new pickup."
