Description: This presentation will review information assisters need to know going into Open Enrollment, including 2025 Marketplace Integrity and Affordability Final Rule Overview, the removal of bronze to silver crosswalk, SEPs during Open Enrollment, an overview of catastrophic health coverage and new hardship exemptions, expiration of Enhanced Premium Tax Credits, and other important reminders and policy updates.
Marketplace Open Enrollment Policy Deep Dive
Description: On Friday, July 4, 2025, H.R. 1 was signed into law and became Public Law 119-21. This law includes several provisions related to the Marketplace some of which will be covered on today’s webinar including permitting Health Savings Account (HSAs) to be used with all bronze and catastrophic qualified health plans (QHP) on-and off-Exchange and expanding eligibility for hardship exemptions through catastrophic plans, eliminating limits on the repayment of excess advance premium tax credit (APTC), and ending APTC eligibility for non-citizens for individuals below 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL) and individuals who are Medicaid ineligible due to immigration status.
