Prosecutors will seek to execute the Utah man accused of gunning down MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk on a university campus.

Jeff Gray, the district attorney for Utah County, said at a news conference on Tuesday that he had charged Tyler James Robinson, 22, with seven offences, including capital murder, discharge of a firearm causing bodily injury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering.

Mr. Gray said that he would seek the death penalty.

“Charlie Kirk was murdered while engaging in one of our most sacred and cherished American rights, the free exchange of ideas,” Mr. Gray said.
