Welcome back to The Weekender, where you’ll find a batch of the week’s top stories about culture and the way we live today.

Until this week, I thought I was a Sagittarius — a free spirit, according to the stars, if not science or my friends and family. But if you account for how our view of the sun has shifted over thousands of years, I am a Scorpio. Do I know what being a Scorpio is supposed to mean? No. Am I OK with that switch? Not really! Based on the comments section of our article about Western astrology’s star signs, I was not the only one rattled by this change. But readers had fun figuring out their new signs and learning more about our changing view of the stars. That story is below, along with our Food team’s new list of the best restaurants in America, Damar Hamlin’s incredible comeback story and advice for insomniacs.
