There was also a lot of happening in travel news this week and we kept you updated. The Trump administration changed a rule for travelers needing visas to visit the United States, which could increase their wait times. “Block Everything” protests disrupted travel in France. And a cruise ship passenger jumped overboard, evidently to avoid paying gambling debts. Finally, over the past few years, the Biden administration put new airline passenger protections in place. Now, the Trump administration is moving to strip at least some of them away. Our airlines reporter, Christine Chung, puts what’s happening in context. I’m away next week on my own fall trip.
