EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Sunday. And just like that, the controversial Sex and the City reboot is officially over. While I could spend hours dissecting that sh***y ending (no pun intended, but safe to say the women deserved better) or Carrie’s final outfit (they saved the worst for last), I decided my time would be better spent rewriting the ending entirely. Or at least…the fashion.

• Instead of assassinating her character week after week, Miranda — our forever “contrarian friend” — should have been styled carrying fall’s hottest “it” bag. Better yet, in the polarizing ’80s power dressing that’s making a comeback. Perfect for our Working Girl. 

• Ms. Bradshaw? She should’ve worn one of those straight-off-the-runway silk scarf–woven braids, paired with J.Law–endorsed semisheer but extra-chic cargo pants. Season 2 Carrie would very much approve. 

• Charlotte should have followed in the footsteps of her Gen Z colleagues at the gallery and slipped into this iconic and nostalgic stiletto. 

• And obviously, I would have paid up and brought back Samantha, who, for the record, can wear whatever she wants.
