The Tightest Emmy Races Heading Into Voting |
Final Emmy voting begins Monday, and many of this year’s races feel already decided; we may as well give the limited-series trophy to runaway hit Adolescence now. But there are still a few races that could have surprising outcomes—and we’re hoping that’s the case, since it’s the best way to keep the night interesting.
On Little Gold Men this week, Rebecca, David, and Richard discussed some exciting underdog nominees that they hope voters consider as they cast their ballots. Rebecca picked Severance lead-actress nominee Britt Lower, who’s only an underdog because she’s up against acting icon Kathy Bates. David, meanwhile, went to bat for Jeff Hiller, the surprise supporting-actor nominee for Somebody Somewhere. Wouldn’t that be a beautiful way to end that show’s final season with the Emmy recognition it never got?
