A letter from our editor:
As the summer wanes and we approach a new academic year, our family is undergoing quite a few transitions — new schools, new jobs, and the new rhythms that come with the change in seasons. This summer I went back to work full-time for the first time since becoming a mother. It was time and it felt right, and it's easy for me to feel overstimulated and overwhelmed.
Last weekend, after manically organizing the pantry and then taking a three-hour nap, I suddenly felt capable of basic daily tasks again. It hit me that keeping things in order in our home will be my saving grace as we transition to new routines. Anything to (mindfully) reduce the mental and physical clutter around us, reinforce the rhythms that are life-giving to me as a woman and mother, to us as a family, is currently my North Star.
In the midst of it all, I’m reminding myself that I am capable of supporting my own wellbeing in practical ways. This edition is inspired by anything that helps us streamline and simplify our home and our lives so that we can approach them with presence and gratitude. ✨
Warmly, Kate Community Manager
